Guide: Get the right Templafy integrations

A beginner’s guide for Templafy integrations

Looking for integration to Getty Images? Bynder? Papirfly? Skyfish? Iconfinder? Frontify?

You can have all these DAM integrations, and A LOT more, when choosing Omnidocs. Templafy integrations make your documents work better. Omnidocs is a Certified Templafy Partner, and we’ve worked with Templafy since the company was founded. In fact, Templafy is a spin-off from Omnidocs. This means that besides, perhaps Templafy themselves, nobody knows the platform and opportunities offered by it better than us.

Templafy is a cloud-based Brand Management System suitable for all industries. It allows users to manage and update digital assets through a single interface, and Templafy integrates with numerous cloud-based DAM, DMS, and CRM systems. The benefit of integrating e.g., a DAM system with Templafy, is that the pictures get accessible for end-users inside Word and PowerPoint without logging on to your DAM system. The best part? Updates and changes of content in your DAM-system will automatically happen in Templafy.

Here’s a rundown of all integrations you can have and find in Templafy.

Supported Digital Asset Management (DAM)

Many organizations use Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems to manage all their marketing assets (images, videos, logos, content, PDFs, etc.) which often have advanced capabilities around design, editing, and publishing. Templafy integrates with numerous cloud-based DAM systems.

The integrations require an API from the DAM provider for Templafy to integrate. An integration to an image library on a third-party DAM system such as Getty Image Media Manager, ImageVault, or FotoWare, for example, will allow users to search, find, and use images from that provider both directly in the Templafy interface in Microsoft Office, or on the web. Via integrations, Templafy aggregates all relevant company content for Office documents, and presents it for users inside Microsoft Office.

Among others, we’ve partnered with Bynder and Papirfly to enable your content to be available directly within the Microsoft Office applications you use in the organization. We empower users with access to images, icons, and logos directly inside their office applications. Increase the usage of your company’s latest images, improve workflows, and ensure legal compliance by empowering employees to use only approved images.

When a new integration is requested, Templafy team members engage with the DAM provider to obtain the information required to flawlessly communicate with the DAM service. Here are some of the DAM systems Templafy integrates with so far, and if you don’t find your preferred DAM on the list, we can create it on request. Get all the benefits when you choose Omnidocs.

Supported Document Management System (DMS)

Document management, or Document Management Systems (DMS), is the use of a system and a software to store, manage, and track both electronic and digital documents.

Let’s make it clear: Templafy is not a DMS in itself – Templafy does not store or file your documents. Templafy is for creating documents from approved Omnidocs templates, for example, and digital assets. However, Templafy integrates with numerous DMSs. When a template is opened from any DMS, it opens as a PowerPoint or Word file. If this file has the necessary document properties attached, Templafy will detect these when opened, and prompt the user to select the relevant template from Templafy, e.g., a letter, demo, or report. The template will then be injected with information from the DMS.

The result is an on-brand document containing any data from the Document Management System. This document is also stored in the DMS that is being used. Choose Omnidocs and ensure that your templates have the necessary document properties attached.

Templafy integrates with the following DMSs. If you don’t find your preferred DMS on the list, we can create it on request.

  • iManage
  • Maconomy
  • F2
  • Public360
  • WorkZone
  • NetDocuments
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Teams

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a system for managing all your company’s relations and interactions with clients and potential clients.

Templafy integrates with the global leader in CRMs, Salesforce, that in 2021 for the eighth consecutive year has been ranked the #1 CRM provider by International Data Corporation. The Templafy Salesforce integration currently allows you to do three things: Start documents from Salesforce from an object page (e.g., Opportunities or Accounts), insert data from Salesforce (e.g., Account information, Products, Prices etc.) into a document, and save documents created in Salesforce locally.

If you want to find out more about requirements, how to setup, and how to activate integrations, reach out to your Omnidocs contact today.
