European Energy creates their annual report with flexible in-house tool
European Energy develops and constructs wind and solar farms as well as large scale Power-to-X solutions. The green company has been happy users of Omnidocs’ solution to create annual reports for the last couple of years.
Head of Communications and Regulatory Affairs at European Energy, Thomas Beck Sørensen is elated about this year’s annual report. Especially the design has turned out much better than he had imagined.
“When I look at other annual reports, I believe that we’re at the very top. You would never think that our report is created by a small team of employees with content skills and no design experience. At European Energy, we have high ambitions for our designs, but without Omnidocs we would’ve been forced to outsource the setup and design. I’m surprised how much you can do in Word without being a designer and without using any design program,” Thomas Beck Sørensen says.
With a template solution in Word or Excel, we can implement the design our clients want in their reports. This means that they can create the annual report in-house (content production, setup and proofreading), without compromising on the design. When users correct numbers in Excel, data is automatically updated in the Word template.
Thomas Beck Sørensen continues and states that the high flexibility has been of great benefit in the annual report creation.
“Time pressure is massive, and we have accountants to do their last corrections on the day of deadline. It’s essential to edit numbers and content right up until deadline. We like to keep the process in-house and use Microsoft Word, which we’re familiar with,” Thomas Beck Sørensen states.
In the 2020 annual reporting season we’ve helped 24 clients creating their reports. You find companies like Carlsberg Group, Chr. Hansen, B&O, Lundbeck, FLSmidth, Coloplast, Novo Nordisk Fonden, Spar Nord Bank, European Energy, and Nykredit among them.
